You have different audiences you are speaking to in your business. We call those "Customer Buckets." You don't say the same thing to different people. Or you may, but in different ways. Do it in ways that make sense to which audience/customer bucket you are talking to.

Easy Formula:
1) Figure out which customer bucket you're addressing: Personal Enrolments, Brand Partner, etc.
2) Figure out their  specific needs and offer solutions. For example, you might not offer a link on how to redeem ER points to those accounts that are going inactive, rather, a link to specific oils that they have but have never used might be more useful to them.

Send to your customers and have them text you back the keyword. This is an easy way to find out where they stand, and then you can provide service accordingly. Use your personal experience with YL because that is relatable!

"Hey Lynn! You know I value you and appreciate you, and want to improve the way I provide customer service to you! Would you take a quick survey for me? All you need to do is reply back with whichever word (saver, new, life, or fence) feels most like you. Check out the graphic I just texted to you 😉 It really helps me to serve you better, so thank you!"

As you converse with them, you may send them links here and there if it's helpful. Do not spam them with links! Often, asking permission before sending works well: "There's a variety of carrier oils I use! My favourite is V6. I've got a link that is so helpful, want me to send to you?"

Some links that might help:

SAVER: The Saver would love to save 24% on products, earn back 10-25% back AND receive free monthly products! Tell them about  Essential Rewards ! Would some ideas of what else to try be interesting? Here's 20 ideas!

NEW: Someone new to YL might be interested in carrier oils, easy DIYS and Things I wish I'd known early on!

LIFE: A raving fan is someone you want to make sure is on your list to inform of any new products! They might be find this FAQ useful too. Also, might they be open to getting their oils paid for? Have a conversation and send them these links as needed: Sneak Peek into the Business and Income Disclosure Statement (IDS) .

FENCE: I love telling people about the YL difference and the impact YL makes, here's a summary. Perhaps they are curious about Thieves cleaner and need more recipes, you can find them here.

FOLLOW UP

If someone doesn’t respond, FOLLOW UP. This is how we go from mass texting to 1:1 nurturing.

I know this can feel overwhelming and like a lot of work. But imagine the benefits this can have for you going forward! This is what true business marketing looks like: creating your customer buckets so you can serve them individually and intentionally.

During big sales, if you've done the work properly and created your customer buckets, been in contact and provided service and info, showed gratitude, then your contacting them during sale time will not come across salesy but as part of your normal communication!

Examples:

  • Text to your Savers on Cyber Monday only:

"Cynthia, I just stocked up on ningxia red for an entire year! Did you see my email? Girl, now is the time to jump on it. Want me to send you the link?"

  • Text to your LIFErs on Black Friday / Cyber Monday: I would check to see if they placed a huge order on Black Friday; sending a text on Monday may be overkill. Check in with those who place big orders.

"Seriously Lisa, you have to check this out! Can you imagine getting [INSERT COOL OIL HERE FROM THE SALE] ?? I’m so excited, and I figured you would be too. Did you get my email? Let me know if I can send you the link!"

  • Text to your On-the-Fencers on Black Friday (and/or Cyber Monday): This group could include about-to-go inactives and warm prospects! Remember to speak to their needs; focus on THEM -- not the sale.

"Sarah, how was your Thanksgiving yesterday (if they are from the USA)? Here’s a pic of our day, hope you enjoyed some downtime with your fam. Before I forget, would you want to check out some fun holiday shopping going on with Young Living today? I think [INSERT ONE THING FROM SALE] could really help you with your [INSERT COMMON ISSUE.]"

So this might read like this…

I think NingXia Red could really help you with your energy levels.

I think Thieves Household Cleaner could really help you start switching out the chemicals under your sink.

I think a new diffuser could really help you get into a habit of using oils more in your daily life.

Keep it simple, but just personal enough to grab their attention and start a conversation.
