3 ways to get healthy lips

1) Avoid petrochemicals like petrolatum and petroleum jelly

When I learned that my beloved store-bought chapstick contained petrochemicals like petrolatum and petroleum jelly - basically sludge byproducts of the gas industry, it was a shock. Since I would put it on my lips, I was probably licking it off and also ingesting it - now who wants to eat sludge day in and day out? So I made the switch. I noticed immediately that my lips didn't dry out as much and I love the essential oils in the YL lipbalm. My favourite is the Grapefruit one, which one is yours?

2) Use lipstick and lipgloss that are clean

Now I also love that Savvy Minerals has a lipstick and lipgloss line - oh my goodness, just one swipe on the lips makes me feel more dolled up! Of course, I wear it more often because I love knowing it’s free of parabens, phthalates, fake fragrance and colour, bismuth, metals and mineral oil (remember petrochemical products?) and more. Plus the essential oils plump the lips up beautifully!

3) Exfoliate for smooth lips

Whenever you need a gentle lip exfoliant, we have the Poppy Seed Lipscrub. Honest talk, I was a little hesitant because come on, lip scrub? But wowwww does it ever leave my lips feeling so, so soft! Perfect to use before applying your lip stick and gloss! The lip scrub is made with citrus fresh essential oil, poppy seeds, cocoa butter, mango butter, avocado butter, & shea butter. ALL ingredients that we can trust!
