Is it Safe to Ingest Essential Oils?

It’s a common question and one you’ve probably asked yourself: Are essential oils are safe to ingest? And if so, which essential oils are safe to ingest?

With that, here is everything you need to know about ingesting essential oils. 

Essential oils are highly concentrated plant extracts – a single drop contains the equivalent constituents of several plants which means they are potent!

To answer the first question: Yes, certain essential oils are safe to ingest – with caution. 5 ways to use Orange Plus

 
1) Use in sweet or savoury culinary dishes for added flavour and zest.

2) Add 2–3 drops to a glass of water or mix it with other Young Living Plus essential oils for various flavour combinations. Infusing water with essential oils is a great option for anyone who struggles swallowing vitamins or supplements.

3) Stir a drop of Orange+ essential oil into plain or vanilla flavoured yogurt for a delightful “pick-me-up” to start your morning feeling energized and ready to face the day.

4) Add a drop or two of Orange+ to your favourite ham glaze. Combine honey, maple syrup or brown sugar with Orange+, pour on ham and bake.

5) Add a few drops to whipped cream, mix well, serve with angel food cake.
